MULTITIP RUNNERLESS MOLDING SYSTEMS

The Polyshot Multitip System was designed to allow precision injection molders additional flexibility in the design, manufacture and operation of their molds. The Multitip module can be used as a stand alone unit or can be mated to a Polyshot Hot Runner A hot runner is an injection mold component containing a series of channels that distributes molten plastic within a mold to increase molding productivity through reduced waste, as the runners arent wasted each cycle by being ejected, as the plasic stays molten and gets used on the  manifold manifold

In mathematics, a topological space (see topology) with a family of local coordinate systems related to each other by certain classes of coordinate transformations. Manifolds occur in algebraic geometry, differential equations, and classical dynamics.
to create 8, 16, 32, etc. cavity molds. The Multitip module is a fully self contained hot runner system consisting of a nozzle An orifice in an inkjet print head through which ink is sprayed onto the paper. Print heads with six thousand or more nozzles are common in today's printers.

The use of a fully hardened distribution body allows 2, 3, 4, 6 or 8 tips to be integrated into the system. The Multitip is heated by internal cartridge heaters surrounding the entire distribution body. It operates on one zone of control and is monitored by an independent thermocouple located as close to the gate orifice orifice /or·i·fice/ (or´i-fis)

 as possible.

As with all other Polyshot runnerless systems, the Multitip was designed to facilitate applications where the ultimate in precision and reliability are required.

The Multitip is available in several different versions. Besides having either the "P" (pinpoint) or "F" (full flow) tip styles to choose from, there are five standard tip layouts available. The drawings shown above allow the mold designer to select the number of cavities to be filled per individual Multitip Module. If required, it is also possible to use one Multitip with several tips to inject in·ject

Molded part samples produced with the Multitip System are available from Polyshot on request.

The 075M Manifold System Manifold System is a geographic information system (GIS) software package developed by manifold.net that runs on Microsoft Windows. The GIS software competes with ESRI and MapInfo GIS products. Manifold 7.

The Polyshot 075M Manifold System was designed to meet the exacting needs of today's state of the art, precision injection molders. It excels in applications where engineering resins are being processed, and excellent shot to shot repeatability is required. Absolute precision in resin temperature, coupled with unparalleled control in the gate area, has resulted in a system that achieves new levels of performance.

The Polyshot 075M Manifold Molding System is provided as a complete pre-engineered runnerless molding package. It is shipped fully assembled and tested. The system is available with or without the manifold support and top clamp clamp (klamp) a surgical device for compressing a part or structure.

The manifold is heated with profile wound cartridge heaters specifically constructed for this purpose. They feature swaged leads that can resist temperatures of 900 degrees F. Each nozzle is heated with one specially constructed heater, with its own independent thermocouple. The nozzle heaters are positioned very close to the end of the nozzle, for the ultimate in gate temperature control. The flow passages are carefully machined into the manifold and are totally balanced. There are no artificial balancing techniques used in the construction of the 075M Manifold System. Any area along the flow path where material is required to turn, the system features carefully fitted corner turn plugs. This allows the resin to flow easily through the manifold and nozzles with a minimum of pressure drop and no hold up areas.
