Too much to do.

During summer vacation, I want to join four activities: Bible school, reading, swimming, and horseback riding. But my mom won't let me do all four of them. What should I do?

Erik R., New York

You might like to talk with your mom, not as a way of getting her to change her mind but as a way of seeing her point of view. She may think you need some free time to relax this summer. Or maybe she doesn't have time to drive you to all these activities.

If the two of you discuss the situation calmly, you will be better able to understand each other's feelings.
