Students at the University of California, Berkeley The University of California, Berkeley is a public research university located in Berkeley, California, United States. Commonly referred to as UC Berkeley, Berkeley and Cal , got a whole new kind of "hands-on education" in a recent course on male sexuality. The class, part of a student-run, faculty-supervised curriculum, consisted mostly of guest speakers and in-class discussions. But an article in The Daily Californian reported that students also participated in off-campus sex games and that one group's final project included an excursion excursion /ex·cur·sion/ (eks-kur´zhun) a range of movement regularly repeated in performance of a function, e.g., excursion of the jaws in mastication.  to a gay male strip club, where the student instructor allegedly participated in a sex act onstage on·stage
