Too arty?SIR: I am intrigued by attempts to relate architecture to the other arts, and the report of the Royal Academy Forum in the January January: see month. issue gave much food for thought, ranging from Simon Callery's moving exploration of the nature of earth to Andro Linklater's exposition exposition or exhibition, term frequently applied to an organized public fair or display of industrial and artistic productions, designed usually to promote trade and to reflect cultural progress. of the great American grid, which brilliantly and succinctly suc·cinct adj. suc·cinct·er, suc·cinct·est 1. Characterized by clear, precise expression in few words; concise and terse: a succinct reply; a succinct style. 2. explains the reasons why US culture is so different from those of the rest of the world. But I could not understand the point of publishing Hamish Fulton's contribution. Was the idea of printing most of it in CAPITALS of different kinds an attempt to indicate some of the drama of Fulton's lecture style?
