Stargate Atlantis (five, 8pm

PHILOSOPHERS and adventurers have dreamed of locating the mythical world of Atlantis for centuries, but in this sci-fi spin-off series, the city holds far more terrors than w e could ever imagine.

For those not in the know, a team of scientists have travelled through the Stargate and found themselves in Atlantis.

Unfortunately, their chances of returning t o Earth are scuppered when they discover the region has limited power supplies, leaving the intrepid boffins facing the horror of never being able to return home

William Buckland in one of the Paviland limestone caves of the Gower Peninsula in south Wales. , who - at more than 26,000 years old - is believed to be Britain's oldest human skeleton The human skeleton consists of both fused and individual bones supported and supplemented by ligaments, tendons, muscles and cartilage. Fused bones include those of the pelvis and the cranium. Osteocytes are present in the bone matrix.
