Tommy Bahama Hosts Island Cowboy Classic; Proceeds to Benefit Wipe Out Kid's Cancer.

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 12, 2003

Tommy Bahama and Wipe Out Kids' Cancer are teaming to sponsor Dallas/Fort Worth's premier summer golf event in an effort to support pediatric cancer research and prevention. The tournament, to be held on June 23, 2003 at Timarron Country Club in Southlake, Texas, features a four-person scramble on the Byron Nelson-designed course.

"The Island Cowboy Classic will be a great event for Wipe Out Kids' Cancer," said Cindy Brinker Simmons, the charity's founding chairman. "We are pleased to be supported by Tommy Bahama and other sponsors in an event to raise awareness and funds for pediatric cancer research.

The day starts at 10:30 am with putting and chipping contests, practice on the range, and a box lunch from Kuby's before a shotgun start at 12:00 pm. Tournament activities include a hole-in-one contest on three par 3s with prizes including a 2003 Yukon Denali XL from Sewell Pontiac GMC, a 2003 Chevrolet half-ton SWB pick-up from Classic Chevrolet and a Rolex watch from Bachendorf's. The final par 3 will be sponsored by Outback Steakhouse, who will be grilling steak tips and giving away prizes for all golfers. Additionally, the winner of the longest drive contest will win a Cleveland driver, and the winner of the closest to the pin contest will win a pair of American Airlines tickets good for travel anywhere in the continental U.S.

Dinner includes regional cuisine by M Grill and Tap, Outback Steakhouse and P.F. Changs. Beverages will be provided by Brown-Forman/Five Rivers Ranch, Bud Light, Dr. Pepper, and Ketel One Vodka. Raffle items include golf at SEVERAL AREA CLUBS Glen Eagles Golf Club, Stonebridge Country Club and Cowboys Golf Club, as well as tickets to a Frisco Rough Riders baseball game and hotel stays in New Orleans and Horseshoe Casino in Shreveport, LA.
