Tom.com seeks HK's CETV stake. (World).


Tom.com, the Hong Kong media company controlled by billionaire Li Ka-shing, is in talks with AOL-Time Warner to buy a stake in the U.S. conglomerate's Chinese television channel, Chinese Entertainment Television Broadcasting (CETV CETV Cash Equivalent Transfer Value (UK)

AOL (A division of Time Warner, Inc., New York, NY, www.aol.com) The world's largest online information service with access to the Internet, e-mail, chat rooms and a variety of databases and services.  and Star TV, Rupert Murdoch's Asian broadcaster, were granted the rights to broadcast in the southern Chinese province of Guangdong in 2001. CETV reaches an estimated 20 million homes in China.
