Tom Ryan Joins Accent to Head X-Ray Diffraction Business.

BEND, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 20, 2003

Accent Optical Technologies (www.accentopto.com), a leading supplier of optoelectronics and silicon semiconductor process control systems, today announced the appointment of Tom Ryan, PhD to Director of Business Development, X-ray Diffraction.

Ryan will be leading Accent's business and marketing efforts in the X-ray diffraction market and the emerging strained silicon and gallium nitride inline process control market.

Ryan joins Accent with over 25 years of experience combining sound scientific knowledge with strong strategic marketing skills. In the mid 1980's Ryan pioneered triple axis X-ray diffraction and was instrumental in introducing reciprocal space mapping to the semiconductor industry.
