Business Editors/High Tech Writers

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 13, 2002

Ubi Soft Entertainment is proud to announce that PC Gamer, the world's largest PC game publication, has named Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon(TM) Game Of The Year.

Developed by Ubi Soft's Red Storm Entertainment, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon is a tense, action-filled war game where players control an elite Special Forces team.

"Picking PC Gamer's Game of the Year winner from a slew of great titles is always a very difficult task. Ghost Recon stood out for creating an unparalleled tactical shooter experience, full of compelling strategy and white-knuckle action," said Rob Smith, editor-in-chief of PC Gamer.

PC Gamer also picked Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon for their Best Sound award, stating, "on a quiet urban street, you'll hear the unholy clanking of an enemy tank as it approaches from around the corner - and you'll flinch from the whoosh of the anti-tank missile you launch in response."

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon was also recently named PC Game of the year by IGN.com, a leading internet website for interactive games.

"To be recognized by people who truly love games as much as we do, is the highest honor," said Steve Reid, vice-president of product development at Red Storm Entertainment. "We always strive for intense realism and attention to detail in our games and we believe Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon has set the bar a little higher for us all."
