Tissue Regeneration Technologies Announces Former Senator Max Cleland as Senior Policy Advisor.

) will announce Monday that Former United States Senator Max Cleland has joined the firm as its Senior Policy Advisor. Senator Cleland's primary role will be to serve as the company's liaison to both the government and healthcare communities on behalf of its advanced wound and cardiac care technology. TRT is currently sponsoring clinical trials to treat wounded US soldiers returning from combat in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Senator Cleland, who served in the United State Senate (1996-2002) and previously had been appointed by President Jimmy Carter as Administrator of the United States Veterans Administration (1977-1981), is a long-time advocate for veterans issues.
