TippingPoint Provides Preemptive Protection for Microsoft Bulletins Released Today.

AUSTIN, Texas -- TippingPoint, the leader in intrusion prevention, today announced that its TippingPoint(TM) Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS) provide complete protection against all remotely exploitable vulnerabilities disclosed in the bulletins announced by Microsoft today. The TippingPoint IPS also provided preemptive, zero day protection for two Microsoft vulnerabilities that were disclosed by external sources before a patch or alternative solution was available.

However, it is commendable that Microsoft issued a patch today covering both issues, which is within three weeks of the disclosure of the second Word zero day vulnerability."
