Timmins Smart Community Network seeks RFPs for fibre optic project.


Requests for proposal (RFP (Request For Proposal) A document that invites a vendor to submit a bid for hardware, software and/or services. It may provide a general or very detailed specification of the system.

) are being sought to design the first-phase development of a 138-kilometre fibre optic network for Timmins Timmins, town (1991 pop. 47,461), central Ont., Canada, on the Mattagami River. Timmins is the commercial center of the rich Porcupine gold-mining district, where gold was first discovered in 1909. Silver, copper, lead, and zinc are also mined. .

The project is under the supervision of the Timmins Smart Community Network (TSCN), a community-based partnership working to develop a high-speed high-speed
