"OrgPublisher 4 offers a profoundly new way for executives, managers and employees to access, collect, analyze and strategize using enterprise information," said Lois Melbourne, president and co-founder of TimeVision.

"Every business, no matter its size or industry, needs to empower its employees with corporate intelligence to facilitate positive change. With OrgPublisher 4 and a browser, employees can access, search, analyze and visualize organizational structure This article has no lead section.

Visualizing Real Faces, Real People: Org Charting

OrgPublisher uses existing data to automatically generate graphical depictions of a company in the form of organizational charts published to an intranet. Data can be accessed from virtually any database, including IBM (International Business Machines Corporation, Armonk, NY, www.ibm.com) The world's largest computer company. IBM's product lines include the S/390 mainframes (zSeries), AS/400 midrange business systems (iSeries), RS/6000 workstations and servers (pSeries), Intel-based servers (xSeries) , Microsoft, Oracle and enterprise-resource planning (ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) An integrated information system that serves all departments within an enterprise. "Companies typically choose OrgPublisher because they gain access to always-up-to-date, interactive org charts from individual desktops," said Melbourne. "HR departments particularly like the software because it encourages employee communications by broadcasting up-to-date employee rosters and profiles minus the hassle of manual updates and obsolete information," said Melbourne. "Plus, it helps foster corporate community when a department of employees in Tallahassee can see the names, faces and background profiles of their colleagues in Tokyo." Turning Data into Knowledge

TimeVision introduces "visual knowledge management" geared for individuals that need information in a hurry and in a format they can see and understand. "Information is needed when you need it, not when another department has time to generate a report on it," says Scott Silen, vice president at TimeVision. "The benefit of OrgPublisher is that it delivers information visually, and allows it to be collected, cultivated and individualized in·di·vid·u·al·ize

XML furthers the software's flexibility and enterprise connectivity, said Ross Melbourne, co-founder and chief technology officer at TimeVision. "OrgPublisher uses XML as it originally was intended, as a data-description and transport technology. We anticipate that XML will become one of the primary languages of choice for all computer programs."

Individual quotes are available for charting needs beyond 20,000 persons charted.
