The Telework See telecommuting.  Exchange studies a sample of 3,500 federal workers and finds that three days a week spent telecommuting telecommuting, an arrangement by which people work at home using a computer and telephone, transmitting work material to a business office by means of a modem and telephone lines; it is also known as telework.  would save an average of $4,372 per worker a year and free up about 98 hours per worker in physical commuting time.
