The detailed gardening books from Timber Press aren't for the novice who wants little more than bright color photos and a few plant recommendations: they are perfect picks for the gardening library collection specializing in horticulture horticulture [Lat. hortus=garden], science and art of gardening and of cultivating fruits, vegetables, flowers, and ornamental plants. Horticulture generally refers to small-scale gardening, and agriculture to the growing of field crops, usually on a large  and informative references, and these latest releases add a host of fine new references to the pack. Christopher Lee's Meadows (0881926280, $29.95) may look like a coffee table book with Jonathan Buckley's bright color photos gracing cover and interior; but it's much more. 'Wild Gardening' is promoted, from harboring aggressive grasses and meadow meadow
