Till robber in bid to hijack a car.

A MAN armed with a knife who robbed a shop in Co Armagh tried to make his getaway by hijacking hijacking

At around 7am yesterday one man entered the premises on Thomas Street in Portadown, brandishing a knife. He demanded cash from the till.

The robber made off with a small sum of money in five pound notes.

It is also believed that he had been in the area for some time before the robbery.

He is described as being around 6ft tall and of slim build, wearing a grey padded jacket, black hoodie hoodie hood n (top) → sweat m à capuche;

 and jeans. It's understood no one was injured during the incident.

Police in Portadown are asking for anyone with information about the incident to contact them or to ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
