TietoEnator Corp., Finland and Sweden, has acquired the ERP business for pulp and paper industry from CSC Austria, which has 80 employees in Vienna, Graz Graz (gräts), city (1991 pop. 237,810), capital of Styria prov., SE Austria, on the Mur River. The second largest city in Austria, it is an industrial, rail, and cultural center. Manufactures include iron and steel, precision and optical instruments, machinery, paper, textiles, and chemicals. Probably founded in the 12th cent. and Linz Linz (lĭnts), city (1991 pop. 203,044), capital of Upper Austria, NW Austria, a major port on the Danube River. It is a commercial and industrial center and a rail junction. Manufactures include iron and steel, machinery, electrical equipment, glass, furniture, beverages, shoes, rubber, tobacco products, and textiles., Austria. The business is geared to SAP and Oracle deliveries, maintenance, and further development for leading forest companies globally. IN OTHER NEWS: TietoEnator has acquired the entire share capital of Pentec Ltd, Aylesford, Great Britain, Pentec is a provider of IT solutions for the paper and corrugated board industry. The acquisition supplements TietoEnator's forest IT solutions and services and strengthens the Group's global market position within this sector. Pentec had annual revenues in 2004 of EUR 4 million (US$ 5.14 million). |
