Tianjin develops PE special material for stretching and winding film.

Ethylene Plant of Tianjin Petrochemical Co., Ltd. has successfully developed excellent PE special material DFDA-9030 for stretching and winding film. A gap in the domestic production is filled and commercial production will soon be made in the PE unit of the Ethylene Plant.

Stretching and winding film is a new packing film for industrial uses. It has great stretching strength, high extension rate, good autohesion and great transparency. The new special material is a PE product produced through ethylene/ethylene co-polymerization and can be used to produce hand-made winding film and machine-made winding film. It has extensive applications in the centralized packing of various goods and a bright development prospect. The demand in East China alone is 15 000 t/a.

Special materials for stretching and winding film in the domestic market are mainly imported from abroad. The development of DFDA9030 can help control the price of imported materials in the domestic market.
