Dufferin Lake Blocks (East and West) The Dufferin Lake claim blocks were staked in October 2004, at the beginning of the current rush for land in the Athabasca Basin The Athabasca Basin is a region of Northern Saskatchewan and Alberta Canada that is best known as the world's leading source of uranium. It currently supplies about 30% of the world's uranium. The basin is located just to the south of Lake Athabasca. of Northern Saskatchewan. These 11 properties cover approximately 24,000 hectares and follow portions of the Virgin River shear shear: see strength of materials. Shear A straining action wherein applied forces produce a sliding or skewing type of deformation. zone and the Dufferin Lake fault. Immediately adjacent to these properties is Cameco/UEM's Virgin River project. This is the most active uranium exploration region that Thunder Sword is currently associated with. Exploration for uranium in this region has continued for over 25 years and continues to warrant attention. Significant uranium encounters have been reported by Cameco and its joint venture partners in an area within 1 km of Thunder Sword's properties near Wide Lake. The publicly reported figures are listed below:

As part of the exploration efforts related to Thunder Sword's block of claims, recent airborne data is being analyzed an·a·lyze tr.v. an·a·lyzed, an·a·lyz·ing, an·a·lyz·es 1. There are an additional 2000 people living in the Lac La Ronge Indian Reserve bordering the town[1] and Fugro Airborne Surveys of Ottawa. Some of these conductors have measurable width and appear to be more flat-lying and are therefore better defined by the response from the Z-coil data. Others appear to have more vertical extent and are better defined by the X-coil data." He also suggests the methods to use for the final interpretation report saying; "The following three EM parameters are recommended: --A Total Energy Envelope of an early dB/dt channel to outline the generally more flat-lying conductors --A Decay Constant decay constant n. Thunder Sword is encouraged by these early results on the Dufferin Lake claim blocks and on its other properties. Over 2500 km of airborne geophysical ge·o·phys·ics n. Thunder Sword's primary objective is to identify and develop significant uranium discoveries in the Athabasca Basin in Saskatchewan. The company has amassed an inventory of uranium projects totaling over 74,772 hectares in Saskatchewan's Athabasca Basin and several near-term targets are expected to be drilled in the fall/winter of 2006.
