Thunder Bay to host prestigous NOBA event.

This year marks the 20th Anniversary of the Northern Ontario Business Northern Ontario Business is a Canadian magazine, which publishes monthly in Greater Sudbury, Ontario. The magazine covers business news and issues in Northern Ontario.  Awards program, and it is most fitting that it will be held in Thunder Bay Thunder Bay, city (1991 pop. 113,946), SW Ont., Canada, on Thunder Bay inlet of Lake Superior. The city was created in 1970 by the amalgamation of the twin cities of Fort William and Port Arthur and two adjoining townships. , on Thursday, October 5th, at the Valhalla Inn, where it was first celebrated.

The nine prestigious awards include: Company of the Year (1-15 employees), Company of the Year (16-50), Company of the Year (51+), Entrepreneur entrepreneur (än'trəprənûr`) [Fr.,=one who undertakes], person who assumes the organization, management, and risks of a business enterprise.  of the Year, Young Entrepreneur of the Year, First Nations Business Award of Excellence, Innovation, Entrepreneurial Community of the Year, and Judges' Choice.

The awards are given to honour Northerners who have demonstrated determination, leadership and creativity. They have created the opportunities that strengthen Northern Ontario Northern Ontario is the part of the province of Ontario which lies north of Lake Huron (including Georgian Bay), the French River and Lake Nipissing.
