Thunder Bay to host prestigous NOBA event.

This year marks the 20th Anniversary of the Northern Ontario Business Awards program, and it is most fitting that it will be held in Thunder Bay, on Thursday, October 5th, at the Valhalla Inn, where it was first celebrated.

The nine prestigious awards include: Company of the Year (1-15 employees), Company of the Year (16-50), Company of the Year (51+), Entrepreneur of the Year, Young Entrepreneur of the Year, First Nations Business Award of Excellence, Innovation, Entrepreneurial Community of the Year, and Judges' Choice.

The awards are given to honour Northerners who have demonstrated determination, leadership and creativity. They have created the opportunities that strengthen Northern Ontario, and allow us to enjoy living and working here. More than 160 companies and individuals have been honoured by the NOBA, since the program began in 1987.

The annual Union Gas Student Essay Competition award will also be given. NOBA's success is largely due to the incredible enthusiasm of the northern business community.

Each year, friends, colleagues and business associates throughout this vast region gather to celebrate entrepreneurial spirit and business success.

Join NOBA in the City of Thunder Bay, in October, to share the magic!
