If they choose to disestablish, a new parish will rise from the ashes of St. Martin with a new name--the Church of the Nativity The Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem (Arabic, كنيسة المهد) is one of the oldest continuously operating churches in the world. . It is expected the new parish would open in September.

Combined, the three parishes carry a $400,000 debt load with the diocese, said Archdeacon Marion Vincett. All Saints, established in 1840, will remain a chapel of the new parish.
