Three on epic ride.THREE intrepid riders are making a trek of over 200 miles in a bid to publicise the beauty of the Hiraethog area of Denbighshire.The riders, all members of the Equine Ramblers group, are led by Jenni Miller on her chestnut Tennessee Walking Horse Tennessee Walking Horse or Plantation Walking Horse Breed of light horse with a distinctive, easy-to-sit gait, the running walk. It was developed for touring U.S. Southern plantations. It averages 15.2 hands (61 in. , Didi DIDI Digital Image Design Incorporated (New York) - the only one of this breed in Wales. The other two riders are Nic Wood on her gaited Icelandic horse Hafla, Peter Oxbury on his coloured Arab horse Zara. They started their ride, titled "Hiraethog Rides Again" at St David's in South Wales on May 25 and hope to finish at Llyn Brenig on June 10. |
