Three new math titles from Amer. Institute of Mathematical Sciences.

The American Institute of Mathematical Sciences The American Institute of Mathematical Sciences, (AIMS) is an international organization that works for the research & development of mathematical sciences. This organization promotes mathematical sciences education through its publications and conferences.  (Springfield, MO) has begun the publication of three new quarterly journals with issues in February, including "Journal of Modern Dynamics" (JMD JMD

In currencies, this is the abbreviation for the Jamaican Dollar.

The currency market, also known as the Foreign Exchange market, is the largest financial market in the world, with a daily average volume of over US $1 trillion.
), "Inverse Problems and Imaging" (IPI (Intelligent Peripheral Interface) A high-speed hard disk interface used with minis and mainframes that transfers data in the 10 to 25 MBytes/sec range. IPI-2 and IPI-3 refer to differences in the command set that they execute. See hard disk. ) and "Advances in Mathematics of Communications" (AMC (Advanced Mezzanine Card) See AdvancedTCA. ).

"JMD" is dedicated to publishing research articles in active and promising areas in the theory of dynamical systems with an emphasis on the mutual interaction between dynamics and other major areas of mathematical research, including number theory, differential geometry, and rigidity, among others. An annual print or online subscription costs $295 and $245, respectively.

"IPI" publishes articles that employ innovative mathematical and modeling techniques to study inverse and imaging problems arising in all of the sciences and engineering. The field of applications includes medical and related imaging, non-destructive testing, geophysical prospection and remote sensing, as well as image analysis and image processing. Annual subscriptions cost $395 and $295, respectively.

"Advances in Mathematics of Communications" publishes information on all areas of mathematics and computer science which are relevant to applications communications technology. Content covers such areas as coding theory, cryptology The science of developing secret codes and/or the use of those codes in encryption systems. See cryptography.

cryptology - The study of cryptography and cryptanalysis.
, combinatorics combinatorics (kŏm'bənətôr`ĭks) or combinatorial analysis (kŏm'bĭnətôr`ēəl) , finite geometry, algebra and number theory, as well as the computational aspects of these disciplines. An annual subscription costs $220 and $200, respectively.
