Contact lens solutions made by Bausch & Lomb, Inc., have been used by millions. ReNu with MoistureLoc is a multipurpose lens solution for cleaning, rinsing, disinfecting, and storing soft contact lenses, which Bausch & Lomb introduced to the market in late 2004. The company designed, developed, manufactured, marketed, and sold the product. On April 10, 2006, following reports that consumers using ReNu with MoistureLoc had an increased rate of fungal infection known as Fusarium Fusarium a genus of fungi; some species are plant pathogens and some are opportunistic infectious agents of humans and animals.
