Three new journals launched by haworth press.


Haworth Haw·orth , Sir Walter Norman 1883-1950.

British biochemist. He shared a 1937 Nobel Prize for his research on carbohydrates and vitamin C.
 Press (Bingamton, NY) will begin the publication of three new journals in the first quarter of 2002, including Journal of Access Services, Journal of Archival Organization and Journal of Social Work in Disability & Rehabilitation rehabilitation: see physical therapy. . The Journal of Access Services was launched this year while the latter two titles will be launched beginning with a Spring 2002 issue. All three will be produced quarterly.

Journal of Social Work in Disability & Rehabilitation is being designed to examine issues related to disabilites and social work, practice, research and theory. Targeted to professionals in a wide variety of fields, including sociology sociology, scientific study of human social behavior. As the study of humans in their collective aspect, sociology is concerned with all group activities—economic, social, political, and religious. , psychology, psychiatry psychiatry (səkī`ətrē, sī–), branch of medicine that concerns the diagnosis and treatment of mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders, including major depression, schizophrenia, and anxiety. , education and medicine, the title will include information on: effective practice strategies, models for understanding disabilities and rehab, social justice, policy and practice implications, education and employment issues and developments in state and federal policies. An. annual subscription costs $60 for individuals, $140 for institutions and $160 for libraries.
