Three new journals launched by haworth press.

Haworth Press (Bingamton, NY) will begin the publication of three new journals in the first quarter of 2002, including Journal of Access Services, Journal of Archival Organization and Journal of Social Work in Disability & Rehabilitation. The Journal of Access Services was launched this year while the latter two titles will be launched beginning with a Spring 2002 issue. All three will be produced quarterly.

Published for professionals in the field of librarianship, Journal of Access Services will publish essays, articles, reviews, feature columns, conference reports and research results related to "access services," the policies that govern the use of library collections, services, facilities and interlibrary loans. The journal will also cover: circulation and reserves services, remote access, new technologies, resource sharing, remote storage facilities, measurements of library effectiveness, training and education of staff, copyright and licensing issues of electronic access and cost analysis. An annual subscription costs $45 for individuals and $1.20 for institutions and libraries.

Targeted to professionals involved with corporate and public library archives and historical documentation, Journal of Archival Organization will carry information on "all aspects" of the arrangement, description and provision of access to all forms of archival materials. Editorial will include information on such topics as: management and staffing issues; new approaches to methods of intellectual and physical. access; retrieval of historical records in information systems; and, reviews of projects, procedures, standards and issues in organizing and storing archival collections. An annual subscription costs $45 for individuals, $120 for institutions and libraries.

Journal of Social Work in Disability & Rehabilitation is being designed to examine issues related to disabilites and social work, practice, research and theory. Targeted to professionals in a wide variety of fields, including sociology, psychology, psychiatry, education and medicine, the title will include information on: effective practice strategies, models for understanding disabilities and rehab, social justice, policy and practice implications, education and employment issues and developments in state and federal policies. An. annual subscription costs $60 for individuals, $140 for institutions and $160 for libraries.
