Three more counties join NJ Biz Enhancement Program.

Timothy R. Comerford, Area Development manager - Operations for Public Service Electric & Gas Company (PSE&G), announced that three additional counties - Union, Mercer, and Cainden - will join the New Jersey Business Enhancement Program (BEP). The program ensures that local firms are aware and take advantage of the many available business assistance programs to which they are entitled.

The BEP was developed and kicked-off as a cooperative effort between PSE&G and the New Jersey Department of Commerce and Economic Development to assist NJ firms in improving their competitive advantage.

The Business Enhancement Program was launched in Passaic County in May, 1991, and now exists in 13 of the State's 21 counties.

To kick-off the program in the additional counties, Business Enhancement Seminars will be held to explain BEP, the various business assistance programs offered by state, county and local governments, and the utility programs.

A schedule of the seminars is as follows: Union County, Oct. 1 - Vista International Hotel, Elizabeth; Mercer County, Oct. 8 - Trenton Country Club, West Trenton; Camden County, Oct. 22 - Harbour League Club, Camden.

The program will be expanded to other counties in 1993.
