J3 GUITARS HAS divided its guitar line into three separate lines: The Player Series, the Professional Series, and the Pro Series. Since its inception in 2005, J3 Guitars has been operating under one philosophy: everyone, whether they're a beginner or a professional musician, should be able to afford a great guitar.

The Player Series contains three models: the Phoenix, the Atlantis, and the Phoenix Bass. The purpose of this series is to give beginning musicians the best instrument they can get for their money. All of the models have features seldom seen on instruments at this price point. The Atlantis has a push/pull knob for coil-tapping the bridge humbucker, while the Phoenix has a push/pull knob for increased pickup selection options, giving it a total of seven possible combinations. Both the Phoenix and the Atlantis are available with the choice of maple or rosewood fingerboards. The Phoenix bass features a bridge that can either be strung through the body (for increased low-end and sustain) or through the bridge (for a snappier high-end). Other features like metal knobs and higher-quality pots help these stand out from other instruments in this price range.

Designed for the working musician, the Performance Series features guitars that play and sound great at a reasonable price. The series comprises the Cleo, Slim Jazz, and Malibu guitars, plus the Solaris Bass. The Cleo and Slim Jazz offer the tone and sustain of a hollow-body with the practicality of a solid-body guitar. Both guitars feature smaller semi-hollow construction for reduced feedback and increased comfort. The Malibu features simple, no-frills controls combined with killer construction, making it easy to dial in a great tone. Versatility was the goal in designing the Solaris bass. The 3-band EQ can be bypassed to give the player a wide selection of modern and vintage tones.

The Pro Series is for players who want it all: high-quality components, flawless construction, and stunning finishes. All Pro Series instruments feature mahogany bodies, set-in maple necks, carved maple tops with a figured maple veneer, 24 fret rosewood fingerboards, and gold hardware. The guitars come with a variety of pickup and bridge options. Players can have a two-hum-bucker setup with a tune-o-matic style bridge, and single/single/humbucker or humbucker/single/humbucker with a Wilkinson tremolo. The guitars' controls feature push/pull knobs for coil-tapping, and a 12-string version is available. The basses come in four- and five-string versions in fretted and fretless, and feature a specially designed two-band preamp. Even with all of these features, the guitars remain competitively priced.
