Three arrested in home robbery case.

Eugene police have arrested three men in connection with a violent home-invasion robbery that sent a man to the hospital last week.

Officers responding to last Tuesday's robbery in the 2200 block of Willona Drive in north Eugene fatally shot a dog that lunged at them, and they fired at one of two armed men who mistook them for the original robbers. No one was injured by the gunfire.

Detectives from the violent crimes unit launched an investigation that resulted in the arrest of three men over the weekend. All three men appeared Monday in Lane County Circuit Court on charges of attempted aggravated ag·gra·vate

 murder, burglary and robbery. Jablonski and McCloskey are being held in the Lane County Jail on $1.4 million bail. No bail had been set for Vaughan.

Police said Monday that others believed involved in the crime have not yet been arrested.

Police learned that the two men were friends of the victim who had mistaken the officers for the original robbers. They were not charged with any crime.

Police arrested Jablonski on Sunday at a house on River Road with the help of the city's SWAT team. McCloskey was arrested Sunday at his home on Canterbury Street in Eugene. Vaughan was arrested Saturday in downtown Eugene.
