Three Alarm Cellars Announces Hook & Ladder Ball Raises Over $50,000 for the Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation.


WINDSOR, Calif. -- California Wine Creations, Inc. producer of Three Alarm Cellars wine, is proud to announce that the 4th Annual Hook & Ladder Ball Ladder ball is a lawn game similar in game play to horseshoes. Simply put, you toss a "bola" (two weights on the ends of a piece of rope, named for the weapon it resembles) toward a short ladder.  raised over $50,000 for the Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation (AARBF AARBF Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation ). On September 29, 2006 over 150 firefighters and supporters of the AARBF attended the Hook & Ladder Ball held at San Francisco's prestigious Olympic club The Olympic Club is a country club with several golf courses partly located in San Francisco, California. The club's main "City Clubhouse" is located in downtown San Francisco. The courses are on a property that straddles the boundary between San Francisco and Daly City. . The ball was sponsored by the San Francisco San Francisco (săn frănsĭs`kō), city (1990 pop. 723,959), coextensive with San Francisco co., W Calif., on the tip of a peninsula between the Pacific Ocean and San Francisco Bay, which are connected by the strait known as the Golden  Fire Credit Union and the proceeds will benefit the AARBF's burn survivor and prevention programs.

Three Alarm Cellars provided California red and white wines during the cocktail reception while guests enjoyed bidding on many silent auction items. These wines were also enjoyed by guests throughout dinner. Three Alarm Cellars, which was founded in 2004, donates part of the proceeds from the sale of their wines to the Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation.

Examples of non-profit organizations are charities, hospitals and schools.
, in 1971. They realized severe, life-altering burns often occur in seconds, especially among young children. Their vision led them to establish a mission for AARBF of "enhancing the lives of burn survivors and promoting burn prevention."

Today AARBF works with local hospitals, fire departments, safety coalitions, and other organizations across California to develop innovative programs and services. Prevention education is the key to avoiding agonizing burn injuries, while survivor services prove paramount to improving quality of life for courageous burn survivors.
