Three, including two children injured in Afghan forces firing.
BIRMAL/ ISLAMABAD, September 11, 2009 (Balochistan Times): At least
three persons including one woman and two children were seriously
injured following firing of mortar shells by the Afghan National Army (ANA) in the area of Pakistan on Friday. On the other hand, Security
Sources has not confirmed any injury in the incident. According to details, Afghan Army fired mortar shells from Shikan Post and Macha Da
Kot, out of which eight mortar shells fell in North Waziristan in the
area of Vochabi resulting in serious injuries to a woman and her two
children who were present in the house, belonging to Dad Gull. When
Military Sources were contacted, they confirmed the incident but did not
confirm any human loss or injuries. Sources further added that
terrorists from our side fired shells on check posts of Afghan Army thus
on retaliation, Afghan National Army fired eight mortar shells in the
Pakistan area of North Waziristan but they fell on an isolated ground
hence no loss occurred till the filing of the report.
