On Sunday, Oct. 2, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., thousands of New Yorkers are expected to converge on Bryant Park for The Great Read in the Park, a momentous book and author event and a spectacular kickoff in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the New York Times best-seller list.

The New York Times Great Read in the Park will be an entertaining, interactive experience, an event where New Yorkers of all ages can indulge their passion for books by attending readings, discussions, panels and book signings with more than 150 nationally known authors who will cover nearly every genre: fiction, mystery, biography, autobiography, business, history, travel, graphic novels, sudoku, young adult, crafts, yoga, pets, sports and more.

Net proceeds from the Great Read will benefit the Brooklyn Public Library Coordinates:  The Brooklyn Public Library (BPL), is the public library system of the borough of Brooklyn in New York City.
