Della Francesca ran 2nd off a ninety day plus layoff in a $50,000 (+) allowance race at Churchill Downs Churchill Downs, Ky.: see Louisville. on Wednesday July 2nd. Soldier Song won a $40,000 claiming race Sunday July 6th also at Churchill Downs. In winning the race Soldier Song won $23,320 before jockey, trainer and minority expenses/interests.
