Secure Provisioning Leader to Demonstrate Broad Industry Support

for New Web Services-based Provisioning Interoperability Solution

Thor Technologies, Inc., the secure enterprise provisioning expert(TM) and active member of OASIS, announced today its participation in the first public demonstration of the OASIS Service Provisioning Markup Language (SPML) v1.0 Standard at the Burton Group's Catalyst North America conference. SPML is an XML-based framework for exchanging and administering user access rights and resource information across heterogeneous environments. As a leading provider of user access rights management software and a founding member of the Provisioning Services Technical Committee which helped define the SPML standard, Thor will demonstrate its ability to interoperate with any SPML-compliant application or managed system at the Catalyst interoperability event. The event will take place on Wednesday, July 09 from 6:00 to 10:00 pm PDT in the California room of the San Francisco Hilton.

Attendees will observe Xellerate's secure enterprise provisioning system automatically provision new users based on the contents of SPML-based messages received from the PeopleSoft HRMS suite notifying Xellerate that a new employee has been hired. For enterprises deploying new or extending existing identity and access management systems, the significance of this demonstration is that they will soon have the ability to select a technology that provides a higher value based on its ability to solve the customer's problem. In other words, enterprises will no longer be limited by a single-vendor solution.
