Thomson seeks buyer for Sheshunoff; acquires financial web info service.


Thomson Corp. (Toronto, ON) is seeking a buyer for its Sheshunoff Information Services See Information Systems.  (Austin, TX) division. The company said it expects to receive between $40-50 million for the property. The sale is being handled by Berkery, Noyes & Co. (New York New York, state, United States
New York, Middle Atlantic state of the United States. It is bordered by Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and the Atlantic Ocean (E), New Jersey and Pennsylvania (S), Lakes Erie and Ontario and the Canadian province of
).

Established in 1971, the company was acquired by Thomson from founders Alex and Gabrielle Sheshunoff in March 1988. It provides financial information for professionals in the banking and thrift industries as well as training courses and electronic products and solutions for financial institutions. The assets of A.S. Pratt (Arlington, VA) were acquired by Thomson and added to Sheshunoff in 1995.

No terms were given.
