Thomson Legal & Regulatory acquires publishers in Spain & New Zealand.


In related news, Thomson Legal & Regulatory (Eagan, MN) has agreed to acquire Spanish legal publisher Civitas Ediciones SL (Civitas; Madrid) from WEKA Professional Information. No terms were given. Civitas was established in 1970 and was acquired by WEKA in 1998. It has 40 employees and approximately $5 million in annual revenues. The company publishes more than 1100 titles annually, including legal monographs and codes.
