: HUBB) is an Orange, CT-based manufacturer of electrical and electronic products for commercial, industrial, residential, utility, and telecommunications markets.

ThomasTech, a Horsham, PA-based software and systems integrator that builds content management and publishing solutions for manufacturers and professional publishers, used SAQQARA Product Server 3.1 as the product data management tool for the e-catalog. The RACO and Bell divisions are two of five Hubbell divisions implementing the e-catalog solution developed by ThomasTech.

The e-catalog central repository enables the RACO and Bell divisions to streamline content management processes and publish accurate content to the Hubbell Web and print catalogs. "Through the central repository's enhanced search capabilities, our distributors and large-volume users have easier access to the most complete, accurate, and up-to-date information," says Chris Hildebrandt, Vice President of Marketing for the RACO and Bell divisions of Hubbell Incorporated. "This helps customers make better-informed buying and sourcing decisions."

The solution allows the RACO and Bell divisions to deliver a robust product catalog online that includes content for all of the product parts within these brands. The solution was designed to accommodate the divisions' long-term goals Long-term goals

, such as sharing product data electronically with customers, partners, and internal users, and potentially providing the capability to accept and process online orders.

"We've designed the e-catalog for RACO and Bell so that customers, prospects, and channel partners can search for products using a wide range of parameters--from product number to keyword. Customers can compare products via dynamically generated comparison tables, providing precisely the information they need, when the need it," said Lynda Brooks, ThomasTech VP Sales and Marketing.
