Thomas is back.Thomas the Tank Engine will be returning to Darlington Railway Centre and Museum Darlington Railway Centre and Museum is located on the 1825 route of the Stockton and Darlington Railway which was the world's first steam powered passenger railway. Run by Darlington Borough Council the museum is located in the northern suburbs of Darlington in the ceremonial in July. The annual event, A Day out with Thomas Day Out With Thomas is a trade name, licenced by HIT Entertainment, for tourist events that take place on heritage railways and feature one or more trains decorated to look like characters from the children's TV series, Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends. , is hugely popular and thousands are expected to flock to see the children's characters on Saturday, July 8 and Sunday, July 9. There'll be rides behind Thomas and on Bertie the Bus, plus other attractions.
