Thomas J. Stipanowich, President & CEO of the International Institute for Conflict Prevention & Resolution (CPR Institute) in New York, will step down from his leadership role to become Professor of Law and Academic Director of the Straus Institute of Pepperdine University School of Law The Pepperdine University School of Law is a law school in Malibu, California. During Stipanowich's five years at the helm of CPR, the non-profit Institute saw dramatic increases in revenue and expansion of international conferences and programs, including efforts aimed at promoting greater use of business mediation in Europe and China and the creation of a foundation in The Hague. CPR also initiated a Corporate Leadership Award honoring lawyers promoting effective management of conflict, including general counsel at GE and Ernst & Young. In 2005, CPR inaugurated a new web site and a new generation of books on conflict resolution topics under the halo title, Master Guide Series. CPR recently moved to new and larger headquarters in midtown Manhattan.
