CHICAGO -- Guinness World Record Holder Will Help Fight Hunger Fight Hunger is a global initiative, based in Rome, Italy [1], calling for the end of child hunger by 2015 [2]. It is organised by the World Food Programme and its partners, and comprises different activities throughout the year.  Through Tour of Morton's Steakhouses and Sotheby's Auction

In a record-breaking move that celebrates its own 25-year history, Morton's, The Steakhouse has commissioned what has just been certified by Guinness World Records as the "World's Largest Wine Bottle(TM)." With the capacity to hold over 173 standard bottles -- the equivalent of 1200 glasses -- of wine, this masterpiece of glassmaking art was certified by Guinness World Records today at a ceremony where the bottle was carefully filled with 130 liters of Beringer Vineyards 2001 Private Reserve Napa Valley Napa Valley, Calif.: see under Napa.

The spectacular bottle, a product of international skill and creativity that measures 4.5' tall and 4.5' around, will make a coast-to-coast tour of 27 of the 61 Morton's restaurants in the U.S., celebrating the steakhouse's 25th anniversary with wine and food receptions. Guests will enjoy an array of Morton's hot and cold hors d'oeuvres and two acclaimed Beringer wines: the 1998 Private Reserve Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon and 2002 Stanly Ranch Chardonnay. It is bordered by Slovakia on the east, Austria on the south, Germany on the west, and Poland on the north. , and four bottles were hand-blown from Simax(TM) glass. After the final firings, one bottle was shipped to California, where it has been filled with Beringer's 2001 Napa Valley Private Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, the vineyard's finest wine blended from seven Napa Valley vineyards. The huge cork, handmade in Portugal from the finest corkwood corkwood: see bombax. , was finished with a wax seal.

Beringer will store the bottle, with its valuable vintage contents, under ideal temperature and humidity conditions until November, when it will be shipped (ever so carefully) to the world-renowned Sotheby's galleries in New York New York, state, United States
