The Park at Stone Canyon, a 12.4-acre Bel Air residential parcel with an asking price of about $75 million will be marketed uniquely, with two real estate companies at the helm. The property owner, investor group ECP Acquisitions LLC, has chosen the high-end brokerage Westside Estate Agency Inc. to market the property to local buyers, likely in the entertainment business. The Greenwich Group International, a New York-based global real estate investment advisory firm, will market the property, which is across from Hotel Bel-Air, internationally. "(The Greenwich Group International is) selling it as if it were an office building, we are handling local business," said Stephen Shapiro, chairman of Westside Estate Agency. "We could have someone looking at it as an individual piece to build their dream (home) or could have a developer looking at it to build five or six homes." ... David Contis, chief operating officer and executive vice president of The Macerich Co., will leave the Santa Monica-based publicly traded real estate investment trust in January to become president of the real estate division of Chicago-based Equity Group Investments LLC, according to a company filing by Macerich.
