Thirty Educators Receive 2005 Inspired Teacher Scholarships for Visual Learning; Inspiration Software Awards $750 Professional Development Scholarships.

 worldwide that will receive its 2005 Inspired Teacher Scholarships for Visual Learning. For the seventh year, this scholarship program supports professional development activities for educators in K-12 schools, colleges and universities who champion the integration of visual learning and technology into the curriculum.

The 2005 scholarship program marks the debut of the Inspired Teacher Scholarship Rookie rookie

 Awards. Five of the 30 scholarships were awarded to educators who are beginning to use visual learning instructional strategies with their students and want to learn more.

This year's successful applicants included technology coordinators, school library media specialists, college and university faculty members and elementary, middle and high school teachers from 16 U.S. states A U.S. state is any one of the fifty subnational entities of the United States, although four states use the official title "commonwealth". Award recipients use the $750 scholarships for a wide range of professional development activities, including attendance at a conference, training event or professional education course where visual learning is a key topic.

Educators from K-12 schools, colleges and universities are eligible to apply for the Inspired Teacher Scholarships for Visual Learning. A minimum of one year of service is required and applicants must demonstrate that they have direct contact with students. Inspiration Software has awarded scholarships to more than 120 educators over the past seven years.
