Third annual NAMA boot camp scheduled.


The National Agri-Marketing Association will host their third annual Boot Camp Software from Apple that enables an Intel x86-based Macintosh to host the Windows XP operating system. Boot Camp is used to divide the hard disk into Windows and Mac partitions, to install the necessary drivers and to create a dual boot environment. , August 22-24, in Kansas City Kansas City, two adjacent cities of the same name, one (1990 pop. 149,767), seat of Wyandotte co., NE Kansas (inc. 1859), the other (1990 pop. 435,146), Clay, Jackson, and Platte counties, NW Mo. (inc. 1850). .

The event will kick off on Tuesday, August 22, with an optional Ag Tour sponsored and coordinated by the MoKan NAMA Chapter. The tour will feature a visit to the Kansas City Board of Trade Kansas City Board of Trade (KCBT)

On August 23, the morning will begin with a discussion on Ag Policy by a representative from USDA USDA,

Other general sessions that day include a presentation on Business to Business Marketing. There will also be six breakout presentations that day that attendees can pick and choose from. Breakout session topics include:
   A Year in the Life of a Crop Producer
   A Year in the Life of a Livestock Producer
   Internal Marketing Tools
   Working with Checkoff Boards
   Evaluating Media and Measuring ROI
   Dealing with Activists


Wednesday will wrap up with a relaxing poolside reception.

On Thursday, August 24, there will be a client panel and an agency panel discussion. The event will close with a presentation on The Future of Agriculture by Hugh Whaley, Osborn & Barr Communications.

In addition to the sessions, there will be important time for attendees to network during the breaks and receptions.

In addition to all the presentations, attendees take home a large binder filled with speaker presentations and ag facts. The binder serves as a valuable reference tool.

Last year's Boot Camp drew almost 100 ag marketers and gained the organization several new members.
