In Phase I work, Third Wave has demonstrated the feasibility of using Third Wave AdvantEdge technology in machining titanium materials to reduce costs and improve productivity by 50% or more. The Phase II plan, sponsored by the USAF Manufacturing Technology Division (AFRL/MLM), will advance the application of Third Wave technology established in Phase I and provide for extensive process validation in aerospace component production.
