 segregation and economic difficulties. None of these circumstances, however, deterred Mama from giving her best and expecting the best of her children. God, prayers, faith and the wisdom from Mamas sermons carried the family through. As I read this book, I could hear my mother's voice from heaven in the wonderful sayings. I recommend this book as a guide for all of those amongst us who could use a return trip to our Mamas knee.
