Thermo Black Clawson makes moves in China. Hebei Jiteng Paper Corporation, Luan Na, Heibei, China, has ordered a 350 tpd AOCC system from Thermo Black Clawson (TBC). Scheduled for start-up in September of 2001, the new system will process AOCC and LOCC. The addition of the system will allow the mill to use secondary fibre to increase its production capacity of linerboard. The mill's existing capacity is 200,000 tpy.

Not to left behind, Shandong Bohui Industry Co. Ltd., Shandong Province, China, has also purchased a new AOCC secondary fibre system and an approach flow system from TBC.

Away from linerboard, Sun Paper Company Ltd., Shandong, China, has purchased a new stock preparation system from TBC for its new white board machine. The complete system consists of a 350 mtpd filler system, a 125 mtpd under layer system, and a 125 mtpd back layer system.

Lee & Man Paper Mfg. Co. Ltd., Hang Kong, placed an order with Voith Paper for a new linerboard machine at their Dongguan paper mill, in China. The paper machine, with a design speed of 1250 m/min, will be of the latest design and the first high-tech production unit for linerboard and corrugated medium in Asia. The capacity will be 1000 tpd at a working width on the reel of 5,500 mm.

The new production line will be the fourth one in Dongguan and will boost the mill's capacity from 300,000 tpy to 600,000 tpy.

The new paper machine will be manufactured at Voith Paper, Austria, in cooperation with their joint venture partner, Liaoyang Voith Paper Ltd., in China. Start-up is scheduled for the end of 2002.
