Theragenics Corporation Announces the Availability of In-House Products and Services That Enhance Its Brachytherapy Line.

BUFORD, Ga. -- Theragenics Corporation(R) (NYSE: TGX), the Georgia-based manufacturer and marketer of TheraSeed(R), the premier palladium-103 cancer treatment device, today announced the availability of two in-house loading services for its TheraSeed and I-Seed brachytherapy products, TheraStrand(TM) and TheraLoad(TM). These product extensions, which also include in-house sterilization, allow Theragenics to address the increasing percentage of brachytherapy procedures that involve the use of pre-loaded strands, needles or cartridges. This eliminates the need to send seeds to third-party providers of these services. Physicians who use stranded seeds or custom loaded seeds and spacers in needles can now enjoy this increased level of customer service provided by Theragenics.
