Theodore Sasso honored for Long Island activism.In recognition of his commitment to improving and expanding business activity on Long Island for more than three decades, Theodore P. Sasso, Jr., a senior vice president with CB Richard Ellis' Long Island office, has been inducted into the Long Island Business Development Council's Hall of Fame. Mr. Sasso was honored at the organization's annual Economic Development Conference, rifled "Long Island-Environment for Success," held at Gurney gurney /gur·ney/ (gur´ne) a wheeled cot used in hospitals. gur·ney (gûr n )n. pl. 's Inn in Montauk. Mr. Sasso's long and distinguished career in commercial real estate spans nearly four decades. During this time he has worked on behalf of building owners, major corporations and tenants, representing a diverse group of clients in acquisitions and dispositions, company headquarters relocations, consulting assignments and office incentive packages. Mr. Sasso has developed strong ties with government, economic and industrial development agencies, as well as long-standing relationships with local developers and business leaders. While his professional accomplishments are noteworthy, his dedication to the community is what sets him apart. His involvement and commitement to several philanthropic and civic organizations have earned him numerous accolades, including the Arthritis Foundation Life Enrichment Award and the LIBDC's Spirit of Long Island Award. In 2004. Sasso was appointed to the board of trustees of the Henry Viscardi School at the National Center for Disability Services. a nonprofit multi-service organization located in Albertson, N.Y. |
