Medisys Tech (OTCBB:SCEP) just announced another sales contract to distribute a projected 40 million CoverTip hypodermic safety syringes. Safety syringes sell for anywhere between .10 cents to .20 cents each. That means this contract could be worth as much as 4 million to 8 million dollars in revenues. SCEP also recently received orders for the companies patented proprietary hypodermic safety syringe. These orders come from four multi-market distributors.

SCEP will be focusing in on three markets; the largest is the $700 million 3cc syringe for use in hospitals. Due to the recent mandating by OSHA right now 17 states which consist of over 60% of the U.S. population have already passed laws requiring the use of safety needles. The others should be phased in by the year 2003. SCEP also has a patented pre-filled syringe for use in the $1 billion flu vaccines market. Medisys expects to be shipping soon. Medisys's third market is a blood and fluid collection safety syringe.

SCEP technology also has 17 other patents pending in blood collection, capillary blood testing and tissue excision cutting needles and has been granted 512-K clearances by the FDA to market these products. We are expecting big numbers from this company as they gain market share. There are several other companies out there in this market. One is Med-design Corp trading at approximately $16 per share and Medi-hut Company Inc., trading at approximately $7 per share. In comparison, we believe Medisys is trading very undervalued at current levels. The stock in the past 52 weeks has traded as high as $3.50 per share. We think they are headed in that direction once again.

Mangosoft, Inc., (OTCBB:MNGX), developers of Internet-enabling business software and services, announced on Friday the availability of Mangomind v1.5, the first and only robust, multi-user Internet file sharing service designed for secure business-to-business communications. Mangomind v1.5 features several product enhancements including increased encryption functions, an improved client license user interface, automatic proxy handling and client compatibility with Microsoft Windows, Millennium Edition.

Mangomind, which allows users to access, store and collaborate on files over the Internet, is a very useful tool for telecommuters and other mobile professionals who need access to files anywhere, at any time. According to GartnerGroup, more than 137 million U.S. residents will be telecommuting by 2003. Further, it is estimated that one in five corporate employees will work at home at least one day per week within the next year. The Mangomind service combines the benefits of the Internet with the familiarity of Microsoft Window, to deliver a secure method for multiple users to access, share and store files. MNGX stock traded 167 percent higher on the news to $2.843, and should continue to be benefit as the product is rolled out.

Critical Path, Inc. (Nasdaq:CPTH) announced on Friday that it would revise its previously announced financial results for the fourth quarter of 2000. On January 18, 2001, Critical Path announced its fourth quarter of 2000 financial results, which included revenues of $52.0 million and a net loss, excluding special charges, of $11.5 million or $0.16 per share. Based on the preliminary results of the investigation being conducted by a special committee of the Board of Directors, Critical Path expects that its previously announced revenues for the fourth quarter 2000 will decrease by $6.5 million to $8.0 million. The Company further expects that its costs and operating and expenses for the fourth quarter of 2000 will increase by $1.0 to $2.0 million. These revisions will cause the Company's net loss for the fourth quarter of 2000 excluding special charges, to increase to $19.0 million to $21.5 million. The Company will provide supplemental information in the event that further accounting adjustments are deemed necessary. Shares of CPTH fell 69 percent to $3.063 on the announcement. Based on the new information, it is recommended that investors stay away from Critical Path stock until the Company's financial results are squared away.

Ashford.com (Nasdaq:ASFD), the premier e-commerce destination for fine personal and home decor accessories for retail and corporate clients, recently announced that it would acquire the online watch retailer Watchnetwork.com. The acquisition is expected to expand Ashford.com's direct relationships with leading watch brands, improve the economics of its largest retail category, and grow its emerging corporate business.

The acquisition of Watchnetwork.com will enable Ashford.com to accomplish a number of strategic business objectives. Ashford.com expects to add a number of direct brands to its already extensive selection of watches. By strengthening its authorized dealer relationships with watch suppliers, Ashford.com expects to improve the economics of its largest retail category with better sourcing of watch supply, more advantageous buying terms, lower cost of goods sold, and marketing support. The acquisition should also create marketing efficiencies for the combined entity. Investors seem to agree, lifting the stock 69 percent, to $1.188. Shares of ASFD should continue to benefit, as the acquisition should be accretive in the short term.
