The wonder-full teacher project.

An essential premise of the Wonder Full Teacher is that the quality of a teacher personhood per·son·hood

 a competently taught lesson with transformative qualities for both the student and teacher. In this month's article, Katy Jeffries discusses tie-dying a conventional lesson using common materials, but through her enthusiasm for both children and art, makes this an evidentially joyous joy·ous

 and memorable experience. Wonder Full Teachers see themselves as agents on behalf of children toward their own becoming. This occurs as a consequence of the teachers own boundless enthusiasms for the infinite possibilities of the child--mind body, and spirit.

Just as Ms Jeffries recollects her own sources for her sense of wonder and joy in the arts, Wonder Full Teachers help their students to also look inward, as well as outward, to explore and employ their own wonder-filled dimensions. A close reading of Ms. Jeffries' account of her teaching reveals her personal and familial love In sociology, familial love is a type affinity or natural affection felt between members of a group bound by common ancestry or blood ties, or through friendship and care. Familial love can also be experienced through kindhearted teachers to their students too.  of art, and an enthusiastic sense of ownership for the creative life.
