He shoots, he scores! Basketball is one of many sports that have
been modified for people with disabilities. The athletes compete at the
highest levels, both nationally and around the world. The IX Paralympic
Winter Games, featuring five sports, are set for Turin, Italy, this
month, while the summer games (which feature wheelchair basketball) take
place in Beijing, China in 2008.
